If you could go back and change one thing you've done in your life, what would it be?
Submitted by Devinoid.
Many years ago, there was a friend who needed my help, but he didn't ask me for it. I pretended that technicality freed me from personal responsibility to our friendship and to him.
If you could teleport to any place in the world right this second, where would you go?

enjoy it.
What are 10 things you've done that other people probably haven't?
Submitted by Janette.
I definitely have a lot of things that could be on this list that can't be on the list in such a public forum, but lets see if I can come up with some... clean... ones. Maybe I'll post the dirty list friends-only later. ;)
- Once, I was bit by a lion. It was a baby lion, and I was in 5th grade. He was just playing, but it still hurt.
- I have gone on a week-long road trip, accompanied by someone I'd never met until a couple days before we left, while planning on staying with people I'd never met the whole way. (hi striatic!)
- I graduated from Yale. (not very interesting, but statistically speaking, most people haven't done that)
- I lived on a mountain, by a castle, in Germany.
- I watched all 6 Star Wars movies, in story order, all in one day.
- I've played the bells at Harkness tower.
- I baked six different kinds of cupcakes in one day.
- I rode a horse through snowy woods in Sweden (terribly terribly romantic).
- I took a class on the feasibility of concepts in popular science fiction books.
- I had a close friend for a roommate for two years and it worked out splendidly. We didn't fight, we communicated, we became even closer and still remain close. This isn't "exciting", but from what I can tell, somewhat rare.
That was entirely too hard. Seriously. Geez, I must be boring.
What are you most grateful for in your life right now?

That's actually a little optimistic for this week, so let us go with a list of things that I do not hate.
10 Things Emily does not currently hate:
- Soup. I really like soup.
- My cats.
- Truffle oil.
- Striped socks.
- Cupcakes.
- Hulu.
- Skitch.
- My Patagonia tank top.
- TMG's new album, Heretic Pride.
- My pending east coast trip to see people I really like.
What do you have, what do you need and what do you want?
Submitted by Miss Scotch.
Ah, perfect.
What I have is too much stuff.
What I need is to get rid of a lot of it.
What I want is for you to take some of it.
--------------------------------
Yes, yes, I've bitched about this before. So basically I've committed myself to a major cleaning project this weekend (and I'm telling you all, so I am publicly committing myself!). Getting rid of clothes I don't wear (even if I like 'em), getting rid of books I won't read again (this is so painful), and stuff I don't need (old magazines, other crap).
So some of this stuff will go to charity (like clothes). But some of it (DVDs, books, other random things I'd rather give to people I know, or think you all would like), will get posted here. If you claim it, I will send it to you. I'll even pay the postage, just so it's going to a good home. Did you hear that? I am basically paying for you to take my stuff. Please?
Stay posted for further updates and lists!

PS, by Monday, I will post photos of my apartment, in it's cleaned
state. If I'm really brave, I'll post "before" photos along with the
"after" versions, but I wouldn't bet on it. However, I am making this a
public commitment, so I will follow through! ;)
What are your top 10 most-played songs currently?
Well, according to Last.fm, my overall top 10 (since Dec 2005) are:
- Dreaming of You - The Coral
- Counting Down the Hours - Ted Leo & The Pharmacists
- Life, In A Nutshell - Barenaked Ladies
- King of Brooklyn - Devil Doll
- No Children - The Mountain Goats
- Madeline and Nine - Mike Doughty
- I Hear the Bells - Mike Doughty
- I Know I Know I Know - Tegan and Sara
- A Girl Named GO - Cory Branan
- Not Tonight - Tegan and Sara
However, I haven't actually listened to many of those in a while (although several of those are my "dance around my apt like an idiot" songs, so they do get played every once in a while, when I'm in the mood for such things...which to be honest is fairly often). If I would take a guess at what my top 10 recently are, I'd say these are probably a fair choice (in no particular order):
- Maybe You're Right - Barenaked Ladies
- Portions for Foxes - Rilo Kiley
- A Better Son/Daughter - Rilo Kiley
- Henrietta - the Fratellis
- The Love Cats - the Cure
- Ain't No Reason - Brett Dennen
- Hung Up - Madonna
- Circles (Remix) - Soul Coughing
- The Chimbley Sweep - The Decemberists
- Canonball - Brandi Carlile
When was the last time you interacted with any sort of wildlife?
Submitted by warpedreality.
Well, last night I had a dream that I was in boat, and there were a lot of sharks around the boat... to keep them from knocking the boat over and eating us (no idea who "us" was), we had to feed them. The only thing that would appease them? Sour Patch Kids. We tried those jelly fruit slices, but those didn't work. It had to be sour patch kids. Also, it was noon and completely dark. Any dream interpreters out there?
Then of course, there is the whole alligator story (oh! That could have gone along in the whole "dangerous" QOTD... I forgot about that...), but that isn't really recent (you can look at the aligator's page for the story). There are rabbits and squirrels and lizards around here, but they don't tend to stick around when I want to interact with them.
In your ultimate dream house, what does your favorite room look like?
It looks very much like the room at the Atlanta aquarium that has the beluga whale tank.
What's your musical horoscope? (Put your player on shuffle and write down the first 10 songs that come up.)
Inspired by Stephanie.
- Hangin' Tough - New Kids on the Block (how... odd that this is what came up first)
- Wind it Up - Barenaked Ladies (from Live from Etown)
- Today - Smashing Pumpkins (this could also have been an answer to the question about what song reminds me of a current or past relationship)
- Sleep Alone - Moby (ugh, that title doesn't make for a promising horoscope!)
- Headspace - Velvet Revolver
- Cupid's Victim - Tiger Army (guess I'm not doing too well in the love department, then)
- Portions for Foxes - Rilo Kiley (love this song, but continues the not good with love theme)
- Adrift and At Peace - Nine Inch Nails
- Real Love - Mike Doughty (oh, but maybe it'll get better)
- For the Girl - The Fratellis ("And she said... I can't love you any more than this!" hmm...)
Well, at least I want to dance around like a moron at the end of the day. Excellent
